		<description>Thank you for raising awareness of circumcision.  This barbaric thing needs to be buried in history books.  It is also proof how science is still in its infancy.  Men are not born defective.  This ... impulsiveness to cut the genitals of boys before they can have a say is just horrifying to me.  Yet parents continue to do it.  Ugh...</description>

Although I couldn&#039;t find the data that supports this, there are many reports of Rabbis spreading herpes by oral-genital contact. Inevitably, I think the reason why reformists ended this silly practice had less to do with infection and far more to do with their own maturation--a maturation which coincides far better with our society at large than do any orthodoxies.
